Seperti yang kita ketahui bersama bahwa PTS (Penilaian Tengah Semester) adalah penilaian yg dilakukan di tengah semester setelah kegiatan pembelajaran selama setengah semester atau 3 bulan. Yang dulunya PTS dikenal dengan istilah Ulangan Tengah Semester (UTS). Namun PTS adalah istilah baru yang dipakai sebagai pengganti isitilah Ulangan Tengah Semester (UTS) atau Ulangan Umum Tengah Semester.

Penilaian Tengah Semester (PTS) adalah kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk mengukur pencapaian kompetensi peserta didik di akhir Semester Genap. Cakupan penilaian meliputi seluruh indikator yang merepresentasikan semua KD pada semester tersebut. Hasil penilaian akhir semester selanjutnya diolah dan dianalisis untuk mengetahui ketuntasan belajar peserta didik. Hasil penilaian ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk program remedial, pengayaan, dan pengisian rapor.

My Personal Experience

When I was in Junior high school, I was not a very diligent student. In fact, I was quite lazy. I hated all the subjects that I took during school, especially science. For me science was very difficult. It was hard for me to remember the chemical process, physics calculation, and biological process.

Once, my teacher grounded me in the library because I did not do my biology homework. The teacher asked me to read several books and make a summary about them. When I was browsing the shelves, I found a book a book entitled “ The Inventors of Medicine.” I thought “OK, this is a start”. I took it out and then began reading it.

I learned from the book about Edward Janner. He was an English doctor who found the cure for smallpox. The next one was Louis Pasteur. His interest in bacteria led him to discover the treatment for rabies and anthrax. Just like Pasteur, Robert Koch’s experiments on bacteria also proved that tuberculosis can be spread to others by contact. Finally, there was Alexander Fleming, a British bacteriologist who found the first antibiotic and penicillin.

After I read the book, I realized that sience is useful for human kind. By studying, we can discovery things that can help human kind. Therefore, since that moment, I managed to change my behavior and become a doctor.
